Engaging the World [Virtually] With everyone mostly confined to their homes for the foreseeable future, the challenge has been trying to carry on meaningful conversations through our screens. Luckily, Wilkinson is previewing its fall Engaging the World: Leading the Conversation on the Significance of Race program with a virtual film festival that promotes thought-provoking discussions on race-related issues. Check out our piece below to learn more. New Law and the Liberal Arts Minor coming this fallWilkinson will have a new minor available for all Chapman students in Fall 2020 — Law and the Liberal Arts. The program will give students at Chapman the ability to dive deep into the study of law and its role in our society. Exploring Crisis Through Virtual RealityInternational Studies graduate student Juan Bustillo spent a month in Washington, D.C., interning with the Venezuelan Non-Governmental Organization, Plan País. Bustillo worked on a virtual reality 360° documentary short called Walking for Freedom: A Venezuelan Story which creates a first-hand look at the journeys of Venezuelan refugees.
