Nominations Close Tomorrow!
Do you know someone who is a local champion in litter reduction and environmental initiatives or a major contributor when it comes to building their community? Nominate them today for the Strathfield Citizen and Environmental Citizen of the Year Award! All nominations close at 5pm Friday 11 January 2019.
Celebrate Australia Day 2019!
Join us and celebrate all the things you love about Australia! Head over to Strathfield Park on Australia Day as we welcome our newest citizens and acknowledge individuals who make significant contributions to our community. Event will include a community BBQ, jumping castle, face painting and a reptile display!

Keep It Cool This Summer
The NSW Government will offer discounts up to $1,000 for eligible households and small businesses when installing an air conditioner purchased through an approved installer. The program will also reduce household power bills and the load on electricity systems.

Hands Off Your Mobile!
Starting from January to April 2019, high-tech cameras that detect illegal use of mobile phones while driving will be trialled in the M4 Motorway and Anzac Parade. Fines will not be applied during the trial period. Currently in NSW, motorists caught using a mobile phone illegally will lose five demerit points.

15 The Causeway Strathfield South
‘Jesmond’ 15 The Causeway was built c.1920 and was occupied by the Crocker family until the 1990s, and has since been demolished. ‘Jesmond’ was formerly 16 The Causeway but was renumbered to 15 following the amalgamation of the west ward of Enfield Council with Strathfield Council.
