Thank you to everyone who participated in the gold coin BBQ and good luck to the door knockers this weekend. All donations help fund the Salvo’s vast network of social and community services. Fixing FootpathsThe local community may soon make use of the connecting concrete footpath on Beresford Road that runs alongside Inveresk Park, which was commissioned and constructed by Council. Walk Safely to School DayThank you to all schools that participated in Walk Safely to School Day on Friday 18 May. The campaign was a great success as large numbers of students took steps towards a healthier future by walking to school and enjoying healthy snacks provided by Council! Upgrading GreenspacesPilgrim Park’s upgrade is underway and includes new playground equipment, shade structure, seats, landscaping and maintenance of footpaths! The upgrade is scheduled to be completed by the end of May. Art of Ageing ExhibitionMake your way to High Street Library for the Official Opening for the Art of Ageing Exhibition on Monday 28 May at 4pm. This photographic exhibition celebrates the value, experiences and contributions older people bring to the community. When: Thu 17 May - Fri 15 June Throwback ThursdayRebuilding of Strathfield Station 1927The reconstruction and expansion of Strathfield Station in 1927 involved the acquisition and demolition of properties.
