Pele Tatuila – Community Programs Assistant

Strathfield Council provides a fantastic library service and I love working in the Community Programs Team. I have been working for Strathfield Council in Library Services for nearly 30 years. in a Each week I present Baby Bounce and Storytime to excited little faces where we read books, sing songs and shake musical instruments.

On the 10 October, the Library is excited to introduce a new program called Toddler Time specially designed for children aged 18 months - 3 years years with lots of songs, music and movement.

Pop into the library and lose yourself in the wonderful world of books.

Movies in the Park is back! Kicking off the season is TROLLS (PG) on Saturday 30 September at sunset, Strathfield Park.

After the Bergens invade Troll Village, Poppy (Anna Kendrick), the happiest Troll ever born, and the overly-cautious curmudgeonly Branch (Justin Timberlake) set off on a journey to rescue her friends. Together, this mismatched duo embarks on a rescue mission full of adventure and mishaps – trying to tolerate each other long enough to get the job done.

Please click here for a full list of movies for this season.

Strathfield Baby Health Centre

The Strathfield Baby Health Centre was located on 52 Redmyre Road Strathfield, and assisted with the preservation of maternal and infant health. The Department of Public Health provided the nursing staff. The Centre was opened in 1944 and operated until 1988 when the service was relocated to Strathfield Children’s Centre, Fraser St, Homebush West. Strathfield Council provided the site, the building, furniture and equipment without any government funding assistance.
