On Saturday 16 September the results from the Strathfield Council elections held on 9 September were announced. I have been working for Strathfield Council in Library Services for nearly 30 years. in a Each week I present Baby Bounce and Storytime to excited little faces where we read books, sing songs and shake musical instruments. On the 10 October, the Library is excited to introduce a new program called Toddler Time specially designed for children aged 18 months - 3 years years with lots of songs, music and movement. Pop into the library and lose yourself in the wonderful world of books. Movies in the Park is back! Kicking off the season is TROLLS (PG) on Saturday 30 September at sunset, Strathfield Park. After the Bergens invade Troll Village, Poppy (Anna Kendrick), the happiest Troll ever born, and the overly-cautious curmudgeonly Branch (Justin Timberlake) set off on a journey to rescue her friends. Together, this mismatched duo embarks on a rescue mission full of adventure and mishaps – trying to tolerate each other long enough to get the job done. The Strathfield Baby Health Centre was located on 52 Redmyre Road Strathfield, and assisted with the preservation of maternal and infant health. The Department of Public Health provided the nursing staff. The Centre was opened in 1944 and operated until 1988 when the service was relocated to Strathfield Children’s Centre, Fraser St, Homebush West. Strathfield Council is currently conducting an awnings program to ensure that all awnings in the municipality are safe and has set up a register listing all awnings in our local area. Owners are required to submit to Council an engineering certificate ensuring the safety of the structure. The deadline for submitting certification is 31 October 2017. Current Statistics... Planning Proposal – 11-17 Columbia Lane, HomebushThe proposal seeks an amendment to the Strathfield Local Environmental Plan 2012 to rezone the site from R4 High Density Residential to B4 Mixed Use, increase the maximum height of buildings from 32 metres to 80 metres and increase the maximum floor space ratio (FSR) from 2.7:1 to 5:1.
