Dear Marquette,

Make A Difference Day is coming soon and registration is OPEN!

MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY
Friday and Saturday November 6th & 7th
Alumni Memorial Union

What is Make A Difference Day?

Make a Difference Day is an annual nationwide event in which organizations join forces to elevate community service. On this day, Marquette student volunteers visit the homes of senior adults throughout the city; assisting them with raking leaves, cleaning yards and providing a friendly visitor, in an effort to ensure they are safe, warm and independent in preparation for the winter months.

How does it work?

Register your group of four volunteers. Please register with those you are in close contact with to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.  Groups can choose any three-hour shift on Friday, 11/6 or Saturday, 11/7.

Following Marquette University’s guidelines, each group will need 2 drivers with their own personal vehicles. Each car can only hold 2 people to ensure proper social distancing. If transportation prevents you from participating, please reach out to mucommunity@marquette.edu. While at the site, each participant must follow CDC and university guidelines, including social distancing and mask wearing.

Remember to dress for the weather! Make a Difference day requires doing yard work including raking, trimming bushes, and pulling gardens. We will supply tools but ask that you dress appropriately.

Register HERE by November 1st!
