We hope you get a chance to give this a quick read! Alumni Weekend event registration now open Please join us this Alumni Weekend for some great events and a chance to mingle with fellow Alumni. U of A Dental students lead Movember with goal of raising $10,000 for prostate cancer Dental students together with pharmacy and medical students are looking to raise $10,000 towards finding a cure for prostate cancer. The students are putting together a 15-month calendar for 2019 that includes seasonal photos with their fellow classmates sporting their Movember moustaches. They will sell the calendar starring mid-October and throughout the month of November as well as host a series of events to help raise awareness. Would you be interested in helping the students achieve their goal of raising $10,000 or more? If so, email fourth year dental student Shahed at bayesteh@ualberta.ca or visit https://mobro.co/13755037?mc=1 where you can donate and receive a tax receipt. Help with ResearchAre you a dentist (generalist or specialist) working in private practice in Alberta? If so Dr Senior and Dr Pacheco Pereira would be very grateful if you could complete this short (5 min ) survey regarding rectangular collimation use (or not) when taking intra-oral images in your practice. All responses are anonymous and no personal information is collected. This study will help inform our research team as to the prevalence of rectangular collimation use in private practice, factors that affect its use and how training modules can be developed. The complete information on this project and the brief survey can be found here or scan the QR. Your input is extremely valuable and very much appreciated!
We look forward to seeing you this Alumni Weekend! |
