This week

Sea freight queue

For the coming week, sea freight application turnaround is estimated at 3- 6 days.

Monday morning 30/09/2019 queue started at 850 applications with the team working on applications due back today 2pm.

We had 84 second submission applications due back 3pm today.

 

Australia queue

For the coming week Australia container applications turnaround is estimated at 2-3 days.

On Monday morning 30th Sept the Australian queue had 138 applications remaining with consignments being processed due today.

 

Airfreight queue

By Monday morning 30th Sept, 8 applications remained due back at 10am.

For the coming week, air freight application turnaround is estimated at 1-2 days.

Other Queues:

  • ICR processing (LVWO) – 100% ICR turned around within operational performance targets.
  • Urgency requests processed within 1 working day.

Pressure point:

  • When requesting urgency clearly state the reason for the urgent application.
  • Please include a copy of the FAK fumigation certificate with the LCL shipment e.g. for vehicles. This will expedite the clearance.

Many thanks to all agents who clearly annotate invoices, provide comments in lodgements and include all relevant information for the clearance of lodgements.

 Is my treatment certificate compliant?

A compliant treatment certificate should provide the following (as a recommended minimum):

  1. Name of the MPI-approved Treatment Provider/Company, registration number (AEI) and all relevant contact information;
  2. Fumigation Certificate number and Identifying Number (where relevant);
  3. Name and Signature of treatment provider and date of treatment;
  4. Container number or identification information for Break-Bulk item;
  5. Description of goods and quantity;
  6. Vessel name and voyage number;
  7. Exporter name and address;
  8. Country of origin;
  9. Importer’s name and address;
  10. Type of fumigation (container, sheeted stack);
  11. Target of fumigation (for example, BMSB);
  12. Treatment type (for example, Sulfuryl fluoride or heat);
  13. Date and time treatment started;
  14. Date and time treatment finished;
  15. Treatment duration;
  16. Dose (g/m3) or C/T value achieved (g.h/m3 for fumigation if using 3rd party software programme);
  17. Minimum temperature (oC);
  18. The lowest end-point reading (g/m3), or the heat probe reading
  19. Packaging/wrapping declaration
  20. Aeration/Ventilation details (date, time and final reading - ppm); and
  21. Signed statement that the information provided is true and correct.

Note - above link also includes the fumigation certificate templates for bromide fumigation, Methyl Bromide and sulfuryl Fluoride, which should be used by offshore BMSB Treatment providers. They are accepted in New Zealand as well.

CT is required only for approved 3rd party systems used with SF.
