Wolt, a Helsinki-based food delivery service, landed €100 million ($109.1 million) in new funding. New investor Goldman Sachs Growth Equity joined previous backers Iconiq Capital, Highland Europe, 83North and EQT Ventures in the round.
SQZ Biotechnologies Co., a Watertown, Mass.-based developer of cell therapy candidates for patients with cancer and other serious diseases, closed a $65 million Series D funding round. Temasek led the investment, which included participation from GV, Illumina Ventures, Invus, JDRF T1D Fund, NanoDimension and Polaris Partners.
GO1, an Australia- and San Jose, Calif.-based provider of on-demand workforce training courses, secured over $40 million in Series C financing led by Madrona Venture Group and Seek. New investor Salesforce Ventures also participated, along with existing backers M12 and Our Innovation Fund. S. Somasegar, managing director at Madrona, will join the company’s board.
Holmusk, a Singapore-based digital health startup that manages chronic disease and mental health issues, picked up a $21.5 million investment. Optum Ventures led the round, and was joined by Health Catalyst Capital, Heritas Capital and others. Optum’s Vijay Barathan and Health Catalyst’s Charles Boorady will join the board.
Arculus, a Germany-based modular production platform, raised €16 million ($17.4 million) in Series A funding. Atomico led the round, which included contributions from Visionaries Club and La Famiglia. Atomico’s Siraj Khaliq will join the board.
GATT Technologies, developer of a medical device to address surgical bleedings and organ leakages, completed a €10.5 million ($11.5 million) Series B round. NGI LLC led the investment, with participation from Johnson & Johnson Innovation – JJDC Inc. and Oost NL. Additionally, Geert van Gansewinkel was appointed as the company’s new chief executive, replacing founder Johan Bender, who is now chief technology officer. Mr. van Gansewinkel was previously general manager for the Dutch business of Iqvia. Vlad Hogenhuis, former chief operating officer of Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical Inc., will join the board.
Enuma Inc., a Berkeley, Calif.-based startup that helps children gain math and literacy skills via its game-based self-directed applications, completed a $9 million Series B round of funding. YellowDog led the investment, with participation from SKS PE, SK Holdings, Kakao Ventures, Shinhan Alternative Investment, Kuok Group and Head Foundation.
Electric AI, a New York provider of chat-based IT support, landed $7 million in new funding. 01 Advisors led the round, with Slack Fund also contributing.
Encamp Inc., an Indianapolis-based environmental, health and safety software platform, snagged $3.1 million in Series A funding. Allos Ventures and High Alpha Capital led the round, with support from IU Ventures. David Kerr from Allos and Mike Fitzgerald from High Alpha will join the board.
