Scale AI Inc., a San Francisco-based artificial-intelligence application development startup, raised $325 million in Series E financing co-led by Dragoneer, Greenoaks Capital and Tiger Global Management.
Groq Inc., a Mountain View, Calif.-based semiconductor startup, closed a $300 million funding round. Tiger Global and D1 Capital co-led the investment.
Astranis Space Technologies Corp., a San Francisco-based startup that aims to expand internet connectivity by making smaller, cheaper and more powerful satellites, scored a $250 million Series C round led by funds managed by BlackRock, bringing the company’s valuation to $1.4 billion. New investors Baillie Gifford, Fidelity Management & Research Co., Koch Strategic Platforms, Monashee Investment Management and Uncorrelated Ventures also participated in the funding, along with existing backers including Andreessen Horowitz, Venrock, Fifty Years, ACE Early Stage Partners, Harpoon Ventures, Indicator Fund, Industry Ventures, AME Cloud
Ventures, Refactor Capital, Rising Tide Fund and SOMA Capital.
Keyfactor Inc., a Cleveland-based provider of secure digital identity management services, raised a $125 million growth round led by Insight Partners, and said it intends to merge with peer company PrimeKey. Terms of the agreement weren’t disclosed.
C2i Genomics Inc., a New York-based provider of cancer diagnostic services, grabbed a $100 investment. Casdin Capital led the round, which included participation from NFX, Duquesne Family Office, Section 32, iGlobe Partners, Driehaus Capital and others.
UserZoom, a San Jose, Calif.-based digital experience insights management provider, secured a $100 million investment led by Owl Rock. The company also acquired user experience research platform EnjoyHQ for an undisclosed amount. Earnest Capital, TheVentureCity and Kibo Ventures list EnjoyHQ in their portfolios.
Medable Inc., a Palo Alto, Calif.-based digital clinical trial platform, nabbed $78 million in new funding. Sapphire Ventures led the investment, which included participation from Obvious Ventures, GSR Ventures, PPD Inc. and Streamlined Ventures.
Outschool Inc., a San Francisco-based provider of small group classes for K-12 students that meet over live video chat, snagged $75 million in Series C funding at a $1.3 billion valuation. Co-lead investors Tiger Global and Coatue were joined by Lightspeed Ventures, Union Square Ventures and Reach Capital in the round.
AltruBio Inc., a Redwood City, Calif.-based startup developing novel therapeutics for the treatment of immunological diseases, collected $63 million in Series A funding. Led by aMoon, the round included participation from BVF Partners and CAM Capital.
