Thank you to those who came to the Bushcare Meetup at Maria Reserve! The stunning winter weather made for a wonderful day to plant a variety of plants propagated from Council’s nursery. After some morning tea, the group got busy weeding some remnant Turpentine trees (Syncarpia glomulifera).

Welcoming Friends

Council received a special visitor this week, Mr Manish Gupta, The Consul General of India. Mr Gupta spoke with Councillors and staff of the similarities between our two countries, including India’s system of government which is not dissimilar from our own, with additional local government layers down to the village level. The meeting helped strengthen ties between our countries and we thank Mr Gupta for taking the time to visit with us.

Calling All Green Thumbs!

Register for National Tree Day and be part of creating a brighter and beautiful Strathfield! The first 300 volunteers will be given a free lunch voucher! Gloves, tools and equipment for planting will be provided.
