Success It has been a fantastic first week for our Breakfast Club. The pupils tucked into a healthy breakfast as well having a chance to take part in a range of activities. Next week we will begin our Bagel Stations outside both the Primary Playground and the Secondary Playground. These will allow pupils the chance to grab a bagel to eat before school starts. Although the breakfast is free we would greatly appreciate any small donations you can make to go towards us buying milk and fruit. We will also accept donations of sealed fruit bags.
Happy Hanukkah! This week in Reception, we have been learning all about the Jewish festival of Hanukkah. We found out about menorahs and dreidels and were very lucky to have a visitor in to talk to us about celebrating this festival. We have been comparing the two festivals of light, Diwali and Hanukkah and have been excitedly preparing for our
own Festival of Light!
A Wild Time in Year 1As part of our Year 1 learning experience the children made crowns for their homework. These were worn at school as part of our wild rumpus! We invited the wild things but did they turn up?
Measuring Madness! This week Year 2 have continued investigating measuring in centimetres and metres. We have thought carefully about how to measure accurately and have been using our estimating skills to think about how long an object might be. This week we looked at the proportions of our bodies and measured each other to see if we could spot
any patterns. Some of us found that our arm span is equal to our height and some of us found that our ear is one third of the length of our head!
Artistic ImpressionsThis week Year 3 have started experimenting with printing techniques to create our unique greetings cards for our Help Refugees fundraiser! We can’t wait for you to see it at the event!
"Stories of the Past"This week in Year 4 we have been focusing on developing our story telling for our local 1940s stories. We have been doing this through our storytelling strategies of hear - map - step - speak. Alongside this we are beginning to look at newspaper writing in literacy, focusing on the language tools required to write a
good front page.In Maths, students have been working on using short division methods to solve word problems. We have used the concrete - pictorial - abstract approach to build up to writing and solving sums. Next week we move on to our next topic of data representation through tables and graphs.
Community FundraiserWe are children from Year 3 at School 21 who want to make a difference. We will be learning about how to help refugees in our project at school and organizing our own fundraiser at our school to donate

4:30pm.Come and help the children raise money and awareness to support refugees who are living in harsh conditions this winter!Learn about what life is like for a refugee from the Year 3 children!
