The Office of Diversity and Community Relations will be hosting a virtual professional development trip. The purpose of the virtual professional development trip is to expose Haslam College of Business students to various industries, careers, and the professional environment. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to expand their career passion and purpose, practice networking, skills, and learn different pathways to success.Please note the Office of Diversity & Community Relations plans to provide dinner to those students accepted to participate! Accepted students will also earn free swag! Tentative virtual site visit companies: Dell Technologies, E&J Gallo Winery, Under Armour, etc. Space is limited so submit your application today. Vol Court includes four speakers sessions conducted by successful entrepreneurs and UT faculty and experts. Sessions are held Wednesday evenings from 5:15 to 6:15. Participants who attend all speaker sessions will be eligible to pitch in week five. Prizes up to $1,500 plus prize packages are awarded to the competition winners. There is no application or cost to attend this series, and participants are not required to pitch in order to attend.

HCB Virtual Program Spotlight: Consulting Project
This year, IPSA is offering a variety of HCB Virtual International Programs. Starting this Spring, students will have the opportunity to participate in an international business consulting project with a multinational corporation and pitch their solutions in a virtual setting.
Apply by September 30th for the priority deadline or by November 1st for the final deadline. Space is limited, so apply early!

You might have noticed white tents and other new amenities popping up around campus. These new outdoor study spaces and hammock stands are meant to encourage social distancing and provide more space for students to work. You can search for them on the campus map.

Dean of Libraries’ Student Advisory Committee
Composed of undergraduate and graduate students from across disciplines, the Student Advisory Committee to the Dean of Libraries’ office (DSAC) provides invaluable contributions to the UT Libraries. Grateful Vol Day/Week
The University of Tennessee’s third annual Grateful Vol Day will celebrate the generosity of UT Knoxville donors by providing an opportunity for students to say thank you. Grateful Vol week will run from September 7-11, and September 16 will be Grateful Vol day. This event serves to create a culture of gratitude by educating students about the importance of philanthropy and showing appreciation to the university’s generous donors. Unlike past years, GVD this year will be a digital experience. Students who submit a personal thank you video will have a chance to win prizes.
