Episode 3 of Sally's interview with Creative Industry Professionals is out now. This episode features Melissa Giuffrida.
Melissa started Collécte when she returned from living in the U.S (in 2017). She was helping my sister try and sell some pieces of really nice designer lighting and furniture and there was no where to sell these pieces other than Ebay, Gumtree or the Auction houses. Coming off living in Washington D.C and working in a High end furniture marketplace with experience as working as an interior decorator there was an obvious hole in the market with no where to sell these pieces. So she decided to take the plunge and start Collécte. Mellissa's goal at Collécte is to provide an easy, seamless way to buy and sell pre-owned furniture and accessories.
As more people look for sustainable and environmentally conscious ways to shop, pre-owned pieces are gaining in popularity. They offer not only economic value but also reduce waste and environmental impact. Collécte have made buying and selling second hand furniture more accessible to a broader audience.

Julian Dolman’s website was in urgent need of an overhaul. Too many plugins, unable to update WordPress, and difficult to update his image galleries. A complete rebuild using the Elementor page builder for WordPress has allowed for a much more user friendly and minimal design. Image galleries are now super simple to manage, and only a bare minimum of plugins are in use.
Two simple galleries are now in place to showcase Julian’s photography – People and Places. The new galleries allow for the addition of title and description of each image, an overview of all images within the galleries and the viewing of larger or fullscreen images. Julian’s beautiful images make me want to take a road trip, very nice. Website design, build and implementation by pixelshifter.

David Gorman recently produced a dynamic video for Reclaim Energy showcasing the CO₂ Heat Pump system. Featuring an animated intro and product overview, the video captures a full installation by a licensed plumber and electrician. Designed to educate and engage, it highlights the system’s efficiency, sustainability, and ease of installation.”

Harriet Tarbuck and I had the pleasure to record a live photography podcast at the Ballarat International Foto Biennale. We interviewed 5 amazing people who work in the photography industry. We walked away from our time with Campbell and Ibby feeling inspired, uplifted and full of smiles. Their talent is incredible, but it’s the way they pour life and love into everything that really stays with you.
