Insight Grant Recipients 

Congratulations to Ian Gellatly (Applicant, SEM) and Andrew Luchak (Co-Applicant, SEM) on being awarded an Insight Grant for his project Re-thinking EDI: Relational Coordination and the Implications for Management Practices. These researchers will explore factors that contribute to employees’ feelings of safety and confidence to work effectively within demographically diverse groups, how to foster appreciation and connection between diverse individuals, and how managers can facilitate genuine work relationships, respect and trust among members.

Welcoming Kim Bates, Business Engagement Librarian 

Kim Bates joins the Rutherford Library replacing Céline Gareau-Brennan during her maternity leave.

Kim has been at the University of Alberta since 2018 as a Learning Manager guiding the library's staff development program. In addition to her MLIS from Western University, Kim holds a Certificate in Adult and Continuing Education from the University of Alberta and is currently completing an MA in material culture.
