Principal's Message

Only two weeks into this term and students and staff have all been actively engaged in a wide variety of activities within classrooms as well as across sporting and cultural activities.

Last week I welcomed our new staff. This week, I wanted to let our parent community know who our amazing Year Advisors are for 2020 and also the Head Teachers overseeing each Key Learning Area. I trust this may help you in seeking their support if you require assistance or have a question to ask.

Port Macquarie Campus P&C Association has been working with our Local Member for Port Macquarie Leslie Williams in relation to the mounting concerns of our parents and citizens and the wider school community regarding the deteriorating condition of our Campus.

As a result of Mrs William’s hard work and persistence in dealing with the Minister of Education and the Department of Education, we find ourselves in a position where we have been offered an information session to ask questions and understand the process regarding the remodeling infrastructure projects at both the Port Macquarie Campus and Westport Campus to make them fit for educational purpose.

INVITATION

An invitation is extended to attend an information session on the infrastructure and remodelling of Port Macquarie Campus and Westport Campus.

The main speaker of the evening is a Senior Project Manager for the Department of Education, Mr Noble Haddad.

Mr Haddad will be the Project Manager for the redesign to our Campus and should be the perfect person to answer the many questions raised, such as, how much money will be invested?, can we see the plans?, start date?, finish date, what the renovations/remodelling will look like? and when we will get a solid commitment on time and money from the Department of Education?

The information session will be held at Port Macquarie Campus at 6:30pm,  Tuesday 18 February 2020.

The invitation is extended to anyone who is concerned about the condition of our Campus and the future teaching/ learning conditions for our students and teachers.

Spread the word and see you there.

The monthly P&C meeting will be held afterwards, time permitting.

Colour Splash and Dash

Port Macquarie Campus is working with our P&C Association and will hold a Colour Splash and Dash event on 8 April 2020.

The aim is to raise money for the redevelopment and beautification of the front entrance to the campus, which is currently old and uninviting and much in need of an upgrade. We are also looking to implement solar panels for the campus.

The event is a fun run with colour and students will be encouraged to raise money for their campus. We want to provide incentives for the fundraising by offering prizes for students who fundraise to beautify their community.

If you are a business or know a community member who would like to donate prizes and/money for the event we would be very appreciative of any donations.
