The 2017 Champions League Final between Real Madrid and Juventus is being played at the Principality Stadium, Cardiff on Saturday 3rd June. The demand from Juventus fans in particular, has resulted in Flybe adding extra capacity with larger aircraft operating between Milan and Birmingham between 2nd and 4th June. Flybe operates 15 routes in total to and from Cardiff airport and all its European services are benefitting from extra bookings as fans including those from Paris, Berlin, Dublin, and Munich take advantage of the fast, convenient and direct flights. BA SAYS DOMESTIC CLUB EUROPE IS A ‘REAL HIT’ British Airways says that its new Club Europe cabin onboard domestic flights have been a “real hit” with 70,000 passengers using the service during its first six weeks. The carrier introduced the cabin on to its domestic network in early April, as part of a range of customer service improvements across BA's operations. Alex Cruz, BA’s CEO, said: “Club Europe is proving incredibly popular with our customers on domestic services. In just a month-and-a-half we’ve had nearly 70,000 take to the skies with us and the feedback we’re getting is great. BA LONG-HAUL WI-FI SWITCH ON High-speed in-flight internet on selected international services is now online with British Airways, with domestic and European flights to follow by the end of the year, at prices ranging from £4.99 to £14.99.
FLYING START FOR EUROSTARA 9% increase in the number of UK business passengers travelling has helped Eurostar to a flying start to 2017, helping the train operator to raise sales revenue by 15% to £232m during the first three months. Compared with the same quarter in 2016, passenger numbers on Eurostar over the same period rose by 2% to 2.27m.
