Click here American College of Medical Toxicology Newsletter Finally Here: CMS Announces a Unique Specialty Code for Medical Toxicology The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has established a unique specialty code for Medical Toxicology (C8-PHY) effective October 1, 2017. Existing enrolled toxicologists who want to update their specialty must submit a change of information application to their Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs). ACMT Seminar in Forensic Toxicology ACMT and The Fredric Rieders Family Foundation present the 2017 'Seminar in Forensic Toxicology: Opioids, Toxicology, and the Law: Medical-Legal Aspects of the Opioid Epidemic.' Headlining the conference are renowned toxicologists Barry Logan, PhD, and Robert Middleberg, PhD, both from NMS Labs. ACMT Quality Measure Taskforce Update An ACMT task force has been working to produce toxicology-specific and CMS-recognized Quality Measures.
