Last month we attended the BSME Annual Conference 2025 in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The theme was 'Redefining Education', with many really interesting and thought-provoking presentations and discussions about the purpose of education; how a future-focused education might look, and better serve the needs of our children, for whatever their futures might look like. Excellent keynotes with thought-leadership and education updates by Diana Osagie, Fiona Cottam, Simon O'Connor, Jan Stipek, Alex Gray, Nat Dickinson, Matt Hall and Russell Cailey. A highlight was the Student Panel Discussion "Finding Your Path With Passion Led Learning", led by Gillian Hammond. Five brilliant young people with drive, ambition and passion, with such a range of talents and interests: a robotics enthusiast who is designing prosthetic limbs, an aspiring World Championship Irish Dancer, a research and promoter of women's health, a charity leader with a steely determination to promote giving, and an aspiring professional golfer. Young people like these really do inspire and give us hope for the future! LSC Education supports schools and education organisations world-wide, to recruit and develop exceptional leaders. We are proud to have brought together a team of excellent professionals, who all bring high-level experience and expertise to our service. LSC Education is led by people who not only have a thorough understanding of the Education sector, through their own personal experience in school governance and leadership, and the business of education, but who are also recognised as award-winning recruiters and have an international reputation as search specialists and leadership consultants. Finding, attracting and appointing world-class leaders is time-consuming and can be challenging. Yet, securing the right leader for a school or education organisation can be transformational. Our experience and track record demonstrate that we can help to attract, assess and secure the right leader for each position. If your school is seeking to recruit leaders this year, and if you want to ensure that you make the very best appointment, contact us to discuss how we might be able to help you. Executive coaching is one of the most significant investments that senior leaders can make in their career, and that schools can make in their senior leaders. Whether the executive coaches work one-to-one with the senior executive team, or in small groups with senior leaders (or indeed middle leaders), executive coaching supports the flourishing of schools by helping leaders to find the meaning within them that drives them, and will help them shape their current and future practice and roles in the way that they really want and need. A coach who has experience in school leadership – as all the LSC coaches do - can also provide the leader with mentoring and guidance to help them develop more widely in their leadership skills and in their career. Each LSC leadership coaching programme is highly individualised and extremely responsive to the specific needs of the school and the leader, including needs which emerge as the programme unfolds. The goals for the programme will be established at the outset in conjunction with the coach and the leaders themselves, and will be reviewed regularly, and revised as appropriate. If you are interested in discussing executive coaching, please contact us quoting code COACHING in the email title.
