Christmas Party at the HUB
Did anyone say Christmas?! Yes, it is only six weeks away! Our team will be organizing the Christmas party (virtually) on December 10 at 3 p.m. this year and all our companies are invited! PulseMedica at the Startup TNT Investment Summit IV
PulseMedica made it into the top 5 finalists in the Edmonton region in the Startup TNT Investment Summit IV pitch competition. 80+ investors have each committed $5,000, spent 8 weeks working together to conduct due diligence on 60 prairie companies, and will make their investment decisions live at the TNT Investment Summit on Nov 18. Naiad Lab in the HerStory 2021 Competition
Naiad Lab will be participating in the HerStory 2021 Competition on November 18, 2021. HerStory is an event that invites women-identifying entrepreneurs to tell a panel of champions from various industries who they are, how they came to their idea and why investing in them will bring innovation, value and impact: both to their industry and to the future of more equitable access to the Canadian capital. Image Guided Therapeutics And Diagnostics Symposium – Nov 17 - 18
Building off the success of the IGT webinar series, Image-Guided Therapeutics and Diagnostics is a two-day symposium that will bring together clinicians, researchers, students, and industry organizations who are interested in emerging diagnostic and therapeutic health technologies. Desjardins GoodSpark Grants
Desjardins is encouraging small businesses to apply for a GoodSpark Grant! They are offering 150 grants of $20,000 to small businesses making an impact on their communities in sustainable development, employment and innovation. All applications must be submitted by 11:59 PM (ET) on Monday, November 29, 2021.
Canada-Alberta Job Grant (CAJG)
The Canada-Alberta Job Grant (CAJG) is an Alberta government funding program that offers training grants to employers. Through the program, companies may receive non-repayable funding from the government to purchase third-party business training programs, including training for in-demand skillsets. Training is expected to improve the employability and value employees can provide; including new hires in these training sessions can also maximize your funding potential.
Technology Alberta FIRST Jobs Pilot Program
The FIRST (First Industry Research Science Technology) Jobs program offers a work placement and meaningful work experience for a current student or recent graduate of an Alberta post-secondary institution while supporting the growth of Alberta’s SME Tech Sector. The student placement is to be a remote integrated learning and work experience. Relevant professional topics are situated in the context of the workplace and are offered as a vehicle to enhance workplace performance – both for the young professionals and for the companies themselves.

Fundraising SWAT Team Program
To access capital, entrepreneurs must tell a compelling story to attract investors and have the materials and plans to see that interest through to close. In partnership with Startup TNT and Innovate Edmonton, the ERIN Coach program is piloting the Fundraising SWAT Team Program, which provides up to 100 hours of hands-on investment preparation training to companies that are raising $500K $2M (beyond friends and family). The application deadline is November 30, 2021.
