Click here Newsletter | September 2018 From the Director's deskThe Troth spent fifteen days of August at Army @ the Fringe, in Edinburgh and left with two awards, Herald Angel Award out of 3.5 thousand shows at the Fringe Festival and Lustrum Award out of 750 shows at Summerhall. These awards are a great credit to both Gary Clarke and The Troth team. With the beginning of the culmination of the World War I commemorations, we are now looking forward to The Troth’s Autumn tour in six cities, in November. At the Queen's Gallery, Buckingham Palace, four different artists presented work with four diverse community groups in the finale of Splendours of the Indian Subcontinent exhibition. I am delighted that our community education department starts its ninth hospital project at the Royal Brompton Hospital, London. We are also excited to host Sangeet Natak Akademi winner and Bharatanatyam virtuoso Rama Vaidyanathan to the UK for Akademi’s choreographic development project – Composition to Choreography – a part of our Autumn of Bharatanatyam series.
