Apps

Better Notes

If you are looking for a simple note taking app for your mobile device, you really need to check this one out. It also uses hashtags and has strong search features.

Remind

Remind has been around for a while and I have loved seeing it really come into its own. It started off as a simple messaging service for educators, and has really grown from there. If you are looking for a great way to communicate with your students or parents, I would highly suggest this app.

Yup

Tutoring in this digital age has continued to expand beyond just being in the same place. Now it is happening over the web and through mobile apps. Yup is a great example of that with a tutoring app for math, chemistry, and physics. It takes advantage of your mobile phone to help you get tutoring from virtually anywhere. You also have the option to be a tutor through the app as well.

Tech Products

Digipuppets

As a dad who has a five year old, you know that their attention spans are quite short. So, anything you can do to keep them engaged in learning is a win! Digipuppets combines a physical product with their apps to engage Pre K to 1st graders to learn and have fun doing it.

Livescribe Pen

As much as I love tech, there are still times when pen and paper are just nice to have. The Livescribe pen helps with this. I can use their pen to take notes on paper, but I can also easily transcribe it into a digital format and save it on my tablet or computer.
