BrizBrain & Spine’s fourth annual weekend conference for General Practitioners was held on 10 & 11 June at Sea World Resort, Gold Coast. Over 80 GPs  from all over Queensland headed to the Gold Coast for an update on pain, trauma and oncology in brain and spine conditions.

The conference featured BrizBrain & Spine neurosurgeons and orthopaedic spinal surgeons,  along with other specialty presenters including radiation oncologist, medical oncologists, palliative care physicians,  and pain specialists.

Wendy Orford’s fundraiser – Thank you

We would like to thank Wendy Orford for organising such a successful afternoon tea fundraiser for the Newro Foundation. Neuro-oncology nurse practitioner Vivien Biggs had the pleasure of attending to say thanks and share important information about brain tumours and brain tumour research. Thank you Wendy, you did an amazing job!

Tickets now available - Brisbane Sings

Each year, Brisbane Sings donates the profits from their annual choir event to a not-for-profit organisation, this year they have selected the Newro Foundation.

Brisbane Sings is a community event featuring choirs and singing groups from all over the city performing separately and together. A massed choir of 500 voices and a stage band will join to present a highly entertaining show that celebrates group singing in a non-competitive environment. The event is fun, uplifting and a great chance for various musical and community groups to share ideas and create lasting and memorable experiences for their members.
