Principal's Message - Meaghan Cook

Welcome to Term 3. On Tuesday, via a ZOOM assembly, I welcomed students and staff back to school. I spoke about how, despite the uncertainty that still surrounds us, Term 3 marks an opportunity to re-set.

You’ll notice the photo that appears at the beginning of the newsletter this week. I wanted to announce the permanent appointment of Mr Geoff Duck as Deputy Principal at Port Macquarie Campus. I am very excited to work alongside Geoff as we have many exciting projects taking place in the coming years. On behalf on the whole school community, congratulations!

The changes implemented due to COVID-19 in Term 2 will stay in place for the safety and wellbeing of students and the wider school community. The most up-to-date information can be found on our website – Important Information Term 3. The most current information for HSC Students can be found on the NESA Website at the following links HSC students and NESA’s COVID Advice page.

If you require further information please refer to updated advice for families and COVID-19 Advice for Families or contact your campus. We will continue to update parents and carers when/if any changes arise.

Fast Track 2 Employment Program needs business and industry mentors.

Take a moment to reflect on your educational or career journey. Did you have an inspirational teacher? Or maybe you had a co-worker or a manager who took you under his or her wing and showed you the ropes?

If you were lucky enough to have someone who helped you along the way, then you know firsthand the value of mentoring.

We are seeking your business and industry expertise, to pay forward your knowledge and experience on any platform you wish to present to students, whether it be face-to-face classroom style, zoom or video content to be shown in the classroom during scheduled lesson times.

If you are interested in being part in the Fast Track 2 Employment Program you can contact directly Mr Leon Ruhl, Senior Transition Officer on Ph: 0434 140 144 or email leon.ruhl@det.nsw.edu.au or sign-up through our mentor form on our website.
