Need some help looking after those plants too? Treading Lightly has you covered with plant friendly classes throughout 2017. To book a time to visit the nursery, call Natural Resources Coordinator, Alex Mackenzie on 0419 233 460 or contact Council on 02 9748 9999. Strathfield StationStrathfield Station has been a transport hub of the Inner West since its completion in 1855. The Sydney (Redfern) – Parramatta line, which includes Strathfield, had a journey of just 40 minutes, a revolutionary improvement to transport at the time. The photo below shows a mixture of old and current themes – many residents will recognise the iconic station roofing, however the steam engine and c1900 clothing of passengers seem out of place to our modern eyes! Please be aware that Council will be closed from Saturday 24 December 2016 and will re-open on Tuesday 3 January 2017.
