Click here Friday 12 June 2020 New Coronavirus Updates and Resources for SLSNSW MembersSurf Life Saving NSW continues to closely monitor the COVID-19 pandemic through official sources including the Australian Government Department of Health, NSW Health and NSW Sport. With the continued relaxation of restrictions, we are seeing surf lifesaving activities resuming and clubs are encouraged to continue transitioning to usual operations and opening their facilities to ensure we retain rescue readiness. We expect further information from Government next week relating to restrictions lifting and amended guidelines and Health Orders that we will interpret and share with our members. Australian Lifeguard Service NSW - Recruitment Now Open!With over 330 positions available across 90 locations, the ALS is encouraging surf lifesavers to apply as a means of offering local employment, building stronger relationships with clubs and providing opportunities for club members to develop leadership and lifesaving skills as;

To ensure your application is registered please follow the instructions on the Become a Lifeguard page of the Australian Lifeguard Service NSW website. Rock Fisher Rescue Wins Rescue of the Month AwardThe life saving rescue of a 32-year-old rock fisher, who was swept into the water without a life jacket, has been awarded the SLSNSW Rescue of the Month Award for March 2020. Applications Open for $14 Million Crown Reserves Improvement FundApplications for the 2020-21 Crown Reserves Improvement Fund (CRIF) are now open. The CRIF Program supports Crown land managers and users by providing funding for repairs and maintenance projects, pest and weed control, new recreational infrastructure or environmental initiatives. Grants & Fundraising Envirobank Off Peak Season RosterWith the easing of restrictions regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, Envirobank has resumed collections with the commencement of their off-peak season roster from 1st June 2020. The new roster is available on the SLSNSW website. If you require an urgent collection or have any questions please contact Carley via email at ctomkinson@envirobank.com.au or phone 0499 221 521. Grant funding is an ideal way to obtain equipment, infrastructure or program funding for your club. In support of SLSCs in NSW, SLSNSW provides a professional grant service at no fee to NSW SLSCs through Surf Life Saving Foundation’s Grant Seeking Unit (GSU). The GSU is a national grant research and writing support unit for SLS entities across Australia.
