As always, we provide updates on our events, those of our Chapters around the world, sectoral news and more. Our first event of 2019 sees us return to Asia for our annual Telecommunications, Media & Regulatory Forum from 12-14 February. The TMRF includes a one-day Regional Regulators’ Forum (for communications regulators only) and a two-day Telecommunications & Media Forum. Registration is still open, and you can learn more below. Registration is also open for our annual Telecommunications & Media Forum, which takes place in Brussels, Belgium, from 26-27 March. To read about this and more please see below. To ensure that you do not miss any event news, update your mailing preferences. This month we have not one but two open access articles from the latest edition of InterMedia. In the first, Stuart Cunningham suggests how a better understanding of social media entertainment can lead to a measured policy response, from an Australian perspective. In the second, Lorna Woods puts forward the case for a ‘duty of care’ policy for social media , a proposal currently under development by the Carnegie UK Trust. You can find links to both articles below, and members can browse all the latest InterMedia articles here, as well those from previous issues. We look forward to welcoming you to one of our events soon.
