Gas Works on Dunlop/Moira St restricting access to EMTC

EMTC would like to advise all our members, and any visitors to our Club, that Multinet Gas Networks are undertaking upgrade work to gas pipes in our area.  This work commenced 22nd July 2021 and is expected to be completed around 15th August 2021.

With this in mind there will be disruptions to the way you access EMTC.  The works will be happening 24 hours of the day, and possibly on weekends.  This means whenever you intend to come to EMTC you may need to allow extra time, especially at busy times around the area.

Please see the attached notice, including pictures of access during the two stages of works: https://eastmalverntc.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/2021-07-22-Multinet-Gas-Works-along-Moira-Dunlop-St-22Jul-15Aug2021.pdf

Multinet have advised that during the DAY (5.00am - approx 7.00pm) there will be parital lane closure, i.e. through traffic allowed.

As the Club side road entrance is in the middle of the DAY works area please ensure you obey the traffic controllers when entering and exiting the side road.

Night Works will be between approx. 7.00pm - 5.00am and during this time ROAD CLOSURES WILL HAPPEN. You must follow Stage 1 access via Moira St (over the freeway).  You will not get car access from the Dunlop St, Ashburton side.

Once Stage 2 commences you will need to come via Dunlop St (Ashburton side).  We will advise when the change happens.

We understand for NIGHT ENTRY to our car park, during both Stage 1 & 2, you will need to advise the Traffic Controller that you are heading into the Tennis Club and they will allow you access (providing you have come for the correct direction).

There may be one or two nights that entry to our Car Park is not possible, but we are unsure if or when this may happen.

You may also notice some supplies/equipment in the very back corner of the carpark.  Some of this may be accessed by Multinet during opening times at the Club.

We ask that everyone is respectful to the workers/contractors who are doing these gas works.  If you have any issues or complaints please let Deb or Ralph know and we will endeavour to sort it out.

There is always the option to park at the Darling Train Station car park behind the DW Lucas Oval (East Malvern Knights Club) and walk across the street, where safe.

The Admin Office will be sending an email to all opposition Competition Club Conveors (Night/Weekend/MWL) who will be coming to EMTC during the disruptions.  If you also wish to send a text to your oposition Captain on the night/day please do so.
