Coronavirus Updates and Resources
Surf Life Saving NSW has updated key sections of its Coronavirus webpage with new advice and resources including updated COVID-19 Safety Plan templates specifically contextualised for Surf Life Saving, the Junior Activities COVID-19 Information Pack and the SLSNSW Return to Sport Plan.
A new DRSABCD during COVID-19 poster - has been released by SLSA and is available to download.
Over 600 Lifesavers Ready to Row for Mental Health
From midday Saturday through to midday Sunday, over 600 surf lifesavers will row continuously for 24 hours to raise money and awareness for mental health charities Gotcha4Life and One Eighty.
Sixteen Surf Life Saving Clubs, gyms and Rowing Australia have signed up for the challenge with each participant taking on a one hour block.
Get behind your fellow clubbies and tune into the event live on the 24 Hour Row and SLSNSW Facebook pages.
2020 SLSNSW Virtual Awards of Excellence
Join us LIVE from 6:30pm on Saturday 29 August on the SLSNSW Facebook page or YouTube channel as we celebrate the outstanding achievements of our branches, clubs and members.
The action-packed live show will be hosted by Harold Marshall (Umina SLSC) and Georgie Rowe (Collaroy SLSC), who will provide laughs and even some surprise knocks on the door for our major awards.

Grants & Fundraising
Grant funding is an ideal way to obtain equipment, infrastructure or program funding for your club. In support of SLSCs in NSW, SLSNSW provides a professional grant service at no fee to NSW SLSCs through Surf Life Saving Foundation’s Grant Seeking Unit (GSU). The GSU is a national grant research and writing support unit for SLS entities across Australia.

Collect Containers For Your Club
If your Club is registered with Envirobank you can continue to raise money for your club during the off-peak season! Envirobank supplies clubs with collection bags that members can take home and return once filled with containers. If your club requires additional collection bags, contact Ash via email at acooper@envirobank.com.au or phone 0499 221 521.

Australian Lifeguard Service NSW - Recruitment Now Open!
With over 350 positions available across 90 locations, the ALS is encouraging surf lifesavers to apply as a means of offering local employment, building stronger relationships with clubs and providing opportunities for club members to develop leadership and lifesaving skills as:
- Lifeguard Supervisors
- Seasonal Lifeguards
- Casual Lifeguards.
Returning 2019/20 lifeguards must reapply online with their user number and password. To ensure your application is registered please follow the instructions on the Become a Lifeguard page of the Australian Lifeguard Service NSW website.
Australian UAV Service - Paid Positions Now Available!
With a presence in every coastal council, the AUAVS is encouraging SLS members to apply as a means of offering local employment, building stronger relationships with clubs and providing opportunities for club members to develop leadership and lifesaving skills as:
- UAV Operators (non-RePL)
- UAV Pilots (RePL).
Returning 2019/20 UAV staff are encouraged to reapply. To ensure your application is registered please follow the instructions on the UAV page of the SLSNSW website.
