Principal's Message - Ian Ross Welcome to Week 9. I hope everyone had a long relaxing weekend. We held over 100 interviews last week for our Year 10 to 11 subject selections. It was intense, but extremely valuable for me to be closely involved in. I learnt about out your child’s dreams, aspirations, favourite teachers, their perceived weaknesses and fears. Message from Andrew Kuchling, Director Educational Leadership It brings me great pleasure to announce Ms Meaghan Cook as the successful applicant for the temporary position of College Principal, Hastings Secondary College. This appointment will be for the remainder of 2021. As the current Principal of Hastings Secondary College, Port Macquarie Campus, Ms Cook is perfectly placed to leverage our highly successful learning initiatives to deliver outstanding outcomes for every student. Ms Cook has demonstrated a wealth of skill and agility around instructional leadership and embedding a culture of excellence in learning and teaching in every classroom. I commend Mr Willem Holvast for his leadership of the College’s strategy and growth over the past five years and sincerely thank him for his loyal service and dedication to Public Education and Hastings Secondary College. I wish Mr Holvast every success in his decision to continue serving the local community through a new role within the Department of Education.
