Mulch Day
Thinking of gardening this weekend? Bring your shrub and tree pruning waste for mulching to the Council Depot or feel free to just come by and take a trailer load of chipped mulch for free!

Slow Down to 40km/hr
School zones are back starting Monday 15 October! Remember to slow down to 40km/hr between the hours of 8am-9:30am and 2:30pm-4pm. Increased penalties apply for school zone offences.

BreastScreen at Flemington
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Finding breast cancer early means a better chance of survival. The BreastScreen NSW van is currently at Homebush West providing free screenings for women over the age of 40. Book your appointment now!

Throwback Thursday
Arnotts Biscuits Homebush
The Arnotts Biscuit Factory in Homebush opened in 1908 and was the largest factory in the Southern Hemisphere exporting biscuits from Homebush to the rest of the world. By 1933 the number of employees peaked at 2,500 and annual production exceeded 10,250 tons. The Arnott’s factory was later relocated to Huntingwood in 1997 and the Homebush factory was closed.
