Mayor Vaccari meets with Minister for Planning

Mayor Vaccari and Deputy Mayor Hall recently met with the Minister for Planning and Housing to discuss Strathfield residents’ concerns about over-development in their local areas.

The Minister praised the Council for having in place a robust set of planning instruments, which he said should already protect the local character of Strathfield from inappropriate developments in the R2 Residential Zones, and has agreed to ask his Department to review and delay the introduction of the Low Medium Density Housing Code in Council’s R3 Residential Zones.
