Fourth Annual Alumni & Friends Reception

Nunn School alumni and friends gathered for a networking reception on Monday, March 20th at the City Club in Washington, D.C. The cocktail reception commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Nunn School was generously hosted by David Cooper (INTA 1996) and Maranda Smith. The fourth annual Alumni and Friends Reception featured keynote speaker Gen. Philip Breedlove, USAF (Ret.), a Georgia Tech alumnus and distinguished professor at the Nunn School.

Jenna Jordan Selected as Winner of CTL/BP Junior Faculty Teaching Excellence Award

Breedlove and Winnefeld Honored by Georgia House of Representatives

Congratulations to Gen. Philip Breedlove, USAF (Ret.) and Adm. James “Sandy” Winnefeld, USN (Ret.) on their recognition by the Georgia House of Representatives through the State House Resolution adopted March 14, 2017 for their service to our nation and for returning to their alma mater, Georgia Tech as distinguished professors.

Annual DC Career Visit

The annual DC Career Visit was on Thursday, March 2nd and Friday, March 3rd, and fourteen students from the Nunn School, Mechanical Engineering, City and Regional Planning, and Public Policy participated. Students had a rewarding trip, click here for more information. 

The 2017 Outstanding Undergraduate Award

General Breedlove Testified Before the Senate Armed Services Committee

Dale Discusses, "Resetting the U.S.-Russian Relationship? Risks and Opportunities"

On March 13th, Center for International Strategy, Technology, and Policy & Center for European and Transatlantic Studies sponsored, Dr. Catherine Dale, who discussed “Resetting the U.S.-Russian Relationship? Little Sam

An article written about our namesake, Senator Sam Nunn was published in the Macon Telegraph. The article was written by fellow Perryan, Larry Walker and begins explaining where the nickname, “Little” derived from. He continues listing the numerous accomplishments of Senator Nunn that have made fellow Perryans proud. Just as Perryans are proud of the Senator, we too are honored to have him as namesake and distinguished professor of our school. Read the article here

Bowman and Wilcox Present their Film, Bad’ & the Birdieman, at Atlanta Film Festival

Kirk Bowman and Jon Wilcox (sponsor of Dr. Bowman’s Chair) presented their film, Bad’ & the Birdieman, at the 41st Atlanta Film Festival on Saturday March 25 to a full and enthusiastic audience. This film tells the story of innovation, leadership, community building, and sports and development in a favela in Rio de Janeiro.
