WEEKENDS:  The Summer weekend season of both Junior & Senior Competition concludes this weekend (at EMTC) so until Saturday 22nd April 2017 there will not be any WEEKEND competition tennis.  This means all courts are available to members during these times (excluding Sunday Social mentioned below).  If you haven’t been down for a hit lately we encourage you to come down, especially as the weather should be cooling down a bit soon!  You could also have a swim if the weather is nice - remember the pool is solar heated.

As always Sunday Social will have Courts 1-8 every Sunday between 1.00pm – 4.30pm and adult members are encouraged to come along and enjoy a social game of tennis with other members.

WEEKDAY/NIGHTS DURING THE EASTER SCHOOL HOLIDAYS:  As always there is no competition tennis played over these School Holidays (Sat 1st - Mon 17th April).  Futures Tennis run 'Holiday Programs' during the day.  See their website if you would like to enrol:  http://www.futurestennis.com.au/holiday-programs/junior-holiday-programs/

We wish all our Junior & Senior WDTA teams the best of luck in their Grand Finals this weekend. Our Bayside teams have their Grand Finals next weekend (away venues for all).  We will give you an update on all results for the Summer 2016-17 season in the next edition.

It is with great sadness that we advise Andrew Hilton passed away on Thursday, from cancer.  He went peacefully with his partner Claudia at his side, and his brother Chris and sister Diana and their spouses in Melbourne.  Andrew was a very active member of EMTC in the 80's & 90's and Vice President for many years. 

Andrew's funeral service will be held at the Hawthorn Art Centre this Friday at 11.00am, followed by a private cremation.

Midweek Ladies play at EMTC on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.  At this point Tuesday and Wednesday teams are full but our Thursday team is looking to split into two teams for the next season (July-Dec17).  If you are interested please let Deb know.  

If you would like to be an emergency for a team also let Deb know.

Futures Tennis Academy continue to run the internal competition on Monday morning, 10.00am – 11.30am, running for seven weeks during school term  (four competitions per year).  It is for Ladies and designed for beginners, social and the low competition players. The comp is doubles only within a 90 minute schedule for seven weeks per season.
