Niloufar Rahim, from Afghanistan, fled to the Netherlands with her family when she was ten years old. She studied medicine in Leiden and now shares her knowledge with students of medicine in Afghanistan.

On Wednesday 16 December the Africa Study Centre and Leiden University signed an agreement on integrating ASCL into the University. After many years of collaboration (in, for example, the Africa Studies research master’s) the ties will be formalised.
