The Closure of Gold Coast Language Schools Pty Ltd

The Tuition Protection Service (TPS) has been advised that Gold Coast Language Schools Pty Ltd (GCLS) trading as Gold Coast College has gone into administration as of close of business Friday 25 September 2015. GCLS has stopped teaching its students from that date.

Under the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000, international education providers unable to provide courses have obligations to either place affected students with an alternative provider or refund their unspent tuition fees. In the event that the provider is unable to meet its obligations, the TPS may assist affected students to find an alternative provider or as a last resort refund any unspent tuition fees paid to the provider.

If you are a former student of this provider and require assistance from the TPS, please contact the TPS Administrator on 02 6271 3440 or email administrator@a.tps.gov.au. You may also contact the TPS Administrator to provide your up-to-date contact details (email and mobile phone number) to ensure you are included in all relevant information that is communicated by the TPS.

NEAS withdrew its endorsement from Gold Coast College on the 9th July 2015, after the school refused to participate in a Quality Assurance site visit in June 2015. Its continued unauthorised use of the NEAS logo remains a matter of concern to NEAS which is being managed by our solicitors.
