Short Courses for the Holidays

We decided that the summer in Edinburgh, when there are so many visitors here, might be a good time to put on some shorter courses. These are fun to do with friends or if you have
visitors staying, they may like to try out one of them.

Shortbread Masterclass – Shortbread biscuits should be light and crumbly. Using a family recipe, we will teach you how to make the best shortbread, which will keep you sustained as you go
around the Festival

Scone Masterclass – Learn the secrets to making delicious light scones and how to adapt the recipe to make different flavours.

Macaron Masterclass Afternoon  & Macaron Masterclass Evening – these beautiful little mouthfuls can be tricky to make but we have a recipe that we will go through very carefully explaining each stage to make sure you understand every element. Once you’ve made your shells, we will make two different fillings to put inside them

Curry in a Hurry – Don’t reach for the takeaway menu, make your own. We start making the curry paste and then then follow the steps to making a delicious curry and rice that you will want to make again and again.

Come and Cook Lunch – We are cooking a Scottish menu on this three course lunch. Cook it in the morning and then enjoy your lunch in our beautiful dining room with a glass of wine

Scottish Classic Afternoon Tea – Afternoon teas are very popular and on this afternoon course we teach classic recipes which, once they are made are taken through to the dining room, where you can enjoy your tea with a glass of fizz and tea or coffee.
