Professional Courses Looking to change career? Thinking about what to do during a Gap Year or looking to start your journey into a career with food. Our next Six-Month Diploma Practical Cookery Course starts on 2nd October.
If you prefer you can just take the first half of the course and gain a Three- A cooking course can lead to all kinds of career, and we have ex-students who have gone on to work in catering companies, in restaurants, as private chefs working all over the world, setting up their own businesses, working in food PR and marketing, working on food policy, food styling for books, magazines and food companies and also writing and producing their own books. Short Courses for the Holidays We decided that the summer in Edinburgh, when there are so many visitors here, might be a good time to put on some shorter courses. These are fun to do with friends or if you have Shortbread Masterclass – Shortbread biscuits should be light and crumbly. Using a family recipe, we will teach you how to make the best shortbread, which will keep you sustained as you go
Curry in a Hurry – Don’t reach for the takeaway menu, make your own. We start making the curry paste and then then follow the steps to making a delicious curry and rice that you will want to make again and again.
Scottish Classic Afternoon Tea – Afternoon teas are very popular and on this afternoon course we teach classic recipes which, once they are made are taken through to the dining room, where you can enjoy your tea with a glass of fizz and tea or coffee. |
