Protection of Properties from Winter Conditions ASSISTANCE WITH PROTECTION OF PROPERTIES FROM WINTER CONDITIONSDear stakeholder,Recently, Hotham CFA and Resort Management staff have responded to several incidents at properties involving burst water pipes as a result of freezing. Under normal circumstances, properties on the mountain would all be occupied during winter with any required protective maintenance being carried out by managers and occupants. Due to the current circumstances of the season and the most recent Stage 3 and Stage 4 restrictions for Victoria, we acknowledge that stakeholders may not be on-mountain or able to access properties to carry out protective measures. To help prevent damage to any further properties that currently aren’t occupied or won’t be for the remainder of the snow season, Resort Management is able to assist stakeholders protect their properties from the effects of the elements. Resort Management staff can inspect properties and activate protective measures including inspecting potable water drain valves and turning on heating systems.
