CamTESOL Conference 2016

NEAS is proud to sponsor the CamTESOL Regional ELT Leadership Forum in Cambodia, which brings together local, regional and international leaders and managers of language schools for the discussion of issues related to leading and managing a quality ELT Centre.

The 12th Annual Conference on English Language Teaching will be held on the 20th and 21st February 2016 with the theme of Promoting Autonomy in Language Teaching and Learning.

Dr Oxford is Professor Emerita, University of Maryland and an adjunct professor of second language teaching and psychology at two branches of the University of Alabama. Her Lifetime Achievement Award states that her “research on learning strategies has changed the way the world teaches languages”.

In addition to delivering hundreds of conference presentations in over 40 countries, Dr Oxford has published widely on second language learning, positive psychology, language and peace, transforming education, and exploring new research approaches, with several of her books having been translated into Japanese, Korean and Arabic.
