Get planting this Sunday!
National Tree Day is only 3 days away! Participants get a free lunch, event shirt, garden plant and chance to win a revolutionary compost bin. Ocean Action Pod, Cooks River Alliance and Phil Gilbert Toyota will be onsite to engage your enviro minds!

E-Waste Drop off Day
Do you have old TV's, computers and printers sitting around? Dispose of these dust collectors thoughtfully and drop by Council's free E-waste Drop off Day!

Are you refilling?
Sydney Water and Strathfield Council have installed four refill stations at Mason Park, Inveresk Park, Strathfield Park and Bark Huts. Since their installation, there have been 35,836 refills resulting in 29,863 plastic bottles being saved from landfill!
Reverse Vending Machine Maintenance
The Strathfield Reverse Vending Machine will be closed tomorrow for scheduled maintenance works. Council apologises for any inconvenience and will have the machine back online soon so you can continue to Return and Earn!
Women’s Hub
Women's Hub is a place of learning and support. Sign up now for the Certificate III in Individual Support course, and learn the skills to provide services to individuals with special or complex needs.

Korean Art Exhibition

Beautiful Blooms
Keep an eye out for flowering wattles (Acacia spp.) in Strathfield! Up to a third of Australia’s 960 species of wattle will flower in winter, including the pictured Acacia falcate, located at Inveresk Park.
Throwback Thursday
Koorianda – Broughton Rd, Homebush
Koorianda was the home of former Mayor, George Davey and was built in 1916 for £1900. Davey invested in the street planting scheme, acquisition of land and the planting of trees and shrubs in public parks, gardens and reserves.
