Update: NEAS Quality Learning Series

Are you a Director of Studies who needs to develop their staff?  A great solution is to send your team to the NEAS Quality Learning Series.  These workshops are free to NEAS Members, and the line-up for the 2015 year can be found here.

The Quality Learning Series returns to Sydney with two sessions on the 27th of March, 2015. Practical Assessment Validation examines standard requirements for mainstream educators to ensure that their assessment tools have been validated effectively.  Assessment for Learning is an interactive workshop that will review principles of effective assessment with a focus on formative assessment in the ESL classroom.

You can register for the Quality Learning Series through the NEAS Calendar of Events, or by calling us at +61 2 9954 6077.

QLS Update: Did You Attend a Quality Learning Series Session in 2014?: PDF files of the 2014 Quality Learning Series presentations can now be found here.

Vietnam's Prime Minister Visits Sydney

Vietnam is NEAS’ second largest operational jurisdiction with 17 English language teaching centres currently maintaining NEAS’ world-class quality endorsement in that country.

It was with considerable interest that NEAS participated in a business briefing and round table dialogue, with the Socialist Republic of Vietnam’s Prime Minister H.E. Nguyen Tan Dung and key members of his cabinet.

Hosted by Austrade and the Minister for Planning and Investment of Vietnam, Australian ELT providers received an opportunity to explore Australian-Vietnamese education partnerships with key businesses and stakeholders in Vietnam’s education sector.

Vietnam is a modern economic success story, and after the Prime Minister’s presentation we are convinced that many more opportunities will become available for Australian ELT providers looking to expand offshore.

Principal Administrators – Do You Need a Summary of Your Scope of Operations?

NEAS providers can now download a Confirmation of Quality Endorsement statement from the NEAS website. The statement which summarises contact details, management staff, premises and courses may be lodged with government bodies and other authorities.  Just log in at www.neas.org.au using your provider login and then click on the View Quality Endorsement button.  Contact NEAS if you have forgotten your login details.

NEAS Welcomes Recent Quality Endorsed Centres

NEAS Quality Endorsement sets out to identify and celebrate a provider's triumphs and promote them to their stakeholders. What’s more, it can support them in their continuous improvement efforts.

The University of Newcastle (Newcastle), University of Canberra (Canberra), and Queen Anne English College (Bankstown) have recently undergone the review process and are to be congratulated on achieving a quality assurance review.
