THE Q FACTOR – WHAT IS YOUR QUALITY FACTOR?
NEAS will be hosting the NEAS 2017 Conference at Doltone House, located in Sydney's Darling Island Wharf on 11 and 12 May 2017. The theme this year will be Developing a Culture of Quality.
The theme for the 2017 NEAS Conference embraces the importance of identifying and celebrating best practice for quality in international education. Developing a culture of quality requires strong committed stewardship from everyone in the sector and a shared understanding of quality. We hope the conference will help us collectively come to a consensus of what quality means to our teachers, our students and our industry by addressing the questions below.
DEVELOPING A CULTURE OF QUALITY
Trust & Capability
How do we build trust with our students and teachers through evidence-based practice? How do we develop our capabilities through quality systems and processes? How do we define quality and help make it happen?
Reach & Capacity
What are the roles of students, teachers, agents and centre staff as quality agents? How do we engage these stakeholders as change agents? How do we increase our reach in international education in Australia and develop our capacity as an international leader in language education?
Innovation & Leadership
What are best practices in our sector for development of 21st century skills in learning and teaching? How are our teachers, students and professional and support staff utilising new technologies in their research and practice? What are examples of leadership in our sector?
