Marina Fox, Dean of Academics, led the College's requirements for the review. The College maintained its Category 1 grading achieving an excellent in all evaluation criteria. This outstanding result is a reflection of the tremendous work of staff and students in the development and delivery of our chiropractic education and support services in an environment where our students flourish to become the world’s best chiropractors. Opening our doors to future chiropractorsWe are still buzzing from Open Day that took place on 15 May and the chance to welcome prospective students and their families to the College. The campus was brimming with visitors discovering everything about a career in chiropractic, exploring the College and chatting with students and staff. Thanks to everyone that shared the event to their communities and helped make the day a huge success. Our next Open Day is on Saturday 16th October. Open Day is a great chance to get hands on in a palpation workshop to see chiropractic in action. Welcoming new faces and familiar ones, at the Chiropractic CentreApril was Friends and Family Month at the Chiropractic Centre and an opportunity for practice members to extend an invitation to those near and dear to have their spine and nerve system checked. It made for an extra busy month with over 350 new visits. And as we were busy welcoming new faces to the Chiropractic Centre, we also welcomed back familiar ones with graduates of the College Katie Putt, Sharleen Adams and David Ham joining our growing team of mentors. They all bring an array of experience to help guide our students during their internship. It’s always great to see our graduates back at the College inspiring future chiropractors in the same way they were inspired. Seeking participants for mTBI researchThe Centre for Chiropractic Research is currently exploring the effects of chiropractic care for people who have had concussion. The team are looking for participants for this research, and if you know someone in the wider Auckland area that has suffered a concussion in the last three months, we'd be keen to hear from them. |
