IntroducingThe new Library Systems Platform (LSP)What is LSP? The LSP software manages activities and resources. It allows for cataloging and circulating of books and other items, analysis of collection and tracking of overdue items and fines. Why is it changing? In 2017, legislation was passed to support the implementation of a single cloud-based LSP across the California Community College system as an opt-in basis. 110 of the 114 California Community Colleges have opted in to this new LSP. CSU system also utilizes this software. Kanopy moves to mediatedFilms now available by requestCOS has access to over 150 licensed titles within Kanopy. Due to high demand and cost, the request to purchase will now come with approval and conversation with library liaison. Previously purchased videos will have licensing for one year. If they expire, please submit the form and notify librarians that you have purchased in the past. If you would like to view a film in Kanopy, but are unable, you will see the message below. Please take a moment to complete the form. A librarian will respond promptly to discuss your selection and purchasing options. Presented by Emily Campbell, Information Competency Librarian OER Corner will return in February. If you have questions in the meantime, please contact Emily Campbell.
