Congratulations to MFA '19, Paul Nunn

Soon to be graduate of the Arts Leadership MFA program, Paul Nunn, has recently accepted a position as Project Lead at UrbanArtworks. Paul has completed several practicum opportunities with the organization as well as helped facilitate one of their largest fundraisers with the Lagunitas Beer Circus. Arts Leadership Announces
May Book Club

We invite you to join the Arts Leadership Book Club for a discussion around this month's featured book, How Racism Takes Place by George Lipsitz, led by Arts Leadership Assistant Professors Jasmine Mahmoud & Roxy Hornbeck. This workshop will feature an aesthetic, culinary, racial, and spatial engagement with Seattle University's neighborhoods.

​This event will take place on Monday, May 20th at 6pm. The tour will start at Suite 401 of the Jefferson Building (1401 E Jefferson St) on Seattle University's campus.

 
 

Each interactive presentation is 20 minutes long. The presentation schedule will be posted in late May. This event is free and open to the public. Join us for all or part of the day!

Summary Project Presentations

Join the MFA Class of 2019 for a day of interactive capstone presentations led by Asst. Prof. Hornbeck and Asst. Prof. Mahmoud.

Through applied research methods, each project is a culmination of a student’s inquiry into an arts field of practice. This includes projects rooted in cultural equity, creative placemaking, teaching artist pedagogy, audience and field analysis, strategic business plans, resistance activism, youth engagement and education, community storytelling and journalism, digital design and influence, and formation of new artistic works and spaces.

Join ArtsFund & Town Hall Seattle on May 17 for a panel discussion and civic dialogue on the social impact of the arts. panelists identify ways we can activate the findings from this new wave of research, framing a deeper understanding of the public value of the arts in our evolving community.
