Stew & Fellowship No Images? Click here Time is up! If you are interested in attending the National Order of the Arrow Conference in 2018 let us know. Please do not hesitate and miss your opportunity. The National Order is in the process of reallocating slots based on the response they have received from each lodge. Any slots we have remaining will not last. If you would like to attend and have not already applied you will need to contact Ken Shahbaz by phone at 336.339.1203 or by email at lodge70@lodge70.org You can visit our NOAC webpage for more information and application instructions. A $100 deposit is required with your application and will be applied towards the overall fee if you are accepted to attend. The fee is estimated to be between $725 & $875 to cover the event fees, lodging, and transportation to and from NOAC. The Vigil Honor is the highest honor that the Order of the Arrow can bestow upon its members. This special recognition is reserved for those Arrowmen who, by reason of exceptional service, personal effort, and unselfish interest, have made distinguished contributions beyond their immediate responsibilities to the lodge, Order of the Arrow, the scouting community, or council camping programs. It is time for you to submit nominations for the Vigil Honor. Each year, the lodge strives to recognize its most worthy members with the Vigil Honor. These selections are made with great care, and only after thorough consideration. Nominations can be made by returning a complete nominations form by February 2nd. Nominations can also be made in person before the selection committee in the council office building between 3:00p and 4:00p on February 4th. A complete form is still required with all in-person nominations. Additional information can be found on the first page of the nominations form. For additional questions please contact us at lodge70@lodge70.org The lodge membership period aligns with the calendar year. That means that with the new year it is also time to make your annual lodge membership fee payment. Staying current on your fees is important for the lodge and the national organization. Your annual fee helps support the events and activities that our lodge provides each year. Staying current also ensures you will continue to receive important communications from the lodge about upcoming events and opportunities you don’t want to miss. Please remember in order to remain an active member in the Order of the Arrow you must also maintain your registration with a scouting unit. In addition to member fees, this is also the time for you to mark your calendars with all of the events for 2018 and complete your Gold Card Registration. Purchasing a Gold Card will pre-pay for all lodge events in 2018 and make the check-in process both easier and faster. The cost for a gold card is $80 and covers both fellowship events and all three ordeals. By making this advance purchase you will save $15 on event fees. Gold Cards will be on sale until Spring Fellowship. Please direct any questions to lodge70@lodge70.org Visit our membership page for additional information and links for fees and Gold Cards. The 2018 SR-7B Cardinal Conclave will be hosted by our own Lodge at Cherokee Scout Reservation. Conclave Workdays The lodge leadership is always seeking new innovative exciting patch designs and ideas for our annual events. If you have an idea for one of our patches or event themes we would love to know about it. We are excited to announce a brand new and simple method for you to share and receive feedback on your patch designs, and theme ideas. A web page has been set up containing all of the information you need to get started designing patches (requirements, deadlines, inspirational materials). At the bottom of the page, you will find a form that will allow you to upload your designs and ideas. If one of your designs selected you will receive an additional patch for your collection as well as a discount or refund towards that event's registration fee and of course bragging rights. Be sure to check it out. We look forward to seeing your creativity. Let’s get ready for fun and fellowship. This years spring fellowship will be March 16-18 at Cherokee Scout Reservation.
