Nursing Staff Enterprise Agreement

It is with great pleasure that I share with you the voting results below, that endorse the Calvary Health Care Tasmania Nurses Enterprise Agreement.

Thank you for your patience; for taking an active role in helping us create a state wide nursing agreement; and for participating in the vote.

Your participation is a continued reflection of your dedication to our patients, their families and our communities, to ensure the highest possible quality care.

Voting Results and Next Steps

Voting closed yesterday Wednesday 5 May at 4.00 p.m. 

A majority of relevant employees who cast a valid vote have approved the making of the Agreement

  • the total number of valid votes received was 499
  • 50 people voted against
  • 449 people voted  for 
  • the vote has been carried.

What happens next?

As a majority of relevant employees who cast a valid vote have approved the making of the Agreement, it will be submitted to the Fair Work Commission (FWC) for approval.

In the circumstances where the Agreement is approved by the FWC, the Agreement will come into operation 7 days after it is approved by the FWC and it will govern the minimum terms and conditions of your employment and replace your current enterprise agreement.

Once the Agreement is approved and comes into operation, Calvary will increase your wages in line with the Agreement and will proceed to process the back-payments.
