Click here Exciting things are happening at Strathfield Library...Strathfield Council is pleased to announce a $1.7 million upgrade of Strathfield Library, commencing in December 2019. Built in 2004, the Library is ready for an upgrade that will ensure Council can provide the community with a more comfortable and engaging space, that enhances learning and information sharing. The upgrade will include:
Reduced Services and Shut Down Reduced services will begin from Monday 2 December and the library will be shut down from Saturday 21 December 2019 until March 2020. During the shut down, members will still be able to borrow books through the library lockers which allow members to book, collect and return items 24/7. Library lockers are located at Strathfield Library and High Street Community Centre. The home library service will also continue to run. In the 2 weeks leading up to the shut down, members will be able to borrow up to 60 books. Make your way through them over 6 weeks, and then return to the library lockers.
