Arkose Labs, a San Francisco-based provider of online fraud and abuse prevention technology, raised $70 million in Series C funding. SoftBank Vision Fund 2 led the round, which included participation from Wells Fargo Strategic Capital, M12 and PayPal Ventures.
Lili, a New York-based mobile banking service for freelancers, secured a $55 million Series B investment. Group 11 led the round, which included participation from Target Global and AltaIR Capital.
StuDocu, an Amsterdam-based edtech startup offering students a platform to exchange knowledge, snagged a $50 million Series B investment led by Partech.
Babel Finance, a crypto financial services provider, closed a $40 million Series A round from investors including Zoo Capital, Sequoia Capital China, Dragonfly Capital, Bertelsmann and Tiger Global Management.
Gennao Bio, a genetic medicines startup, completed a $40 million Series A round. OrbiMed Advisors and Logos Capital co-led the funding, which included participation from Surveyor Capital. Stephen Squinto will serve as the company’s newly appointed chief executive and chair of the board. Chau Q. Khuong, a partner on the private equity team at OrbiMed, will join Gennao Bio’s board.
Contractbook, a Copenhagen-based contract automation platform, landed $30 million in Series B financing. Tiger Global Management led the round, with participation from existing investors Bessemer Venture Partners, byFounders and Gradient Ventures.
FinLync, which offers tools to corporate finance and treasury offices, picked up a $16 million investment. Lead investor Point72 Ventures was joined by Nyca Partners and others in the round. The company has offices in Singapore, Los Angeles, New York and Paris.
GEM Health Inc., maker of bite-sized snacks containing superfoods, vitamins, minerals and probiotics, was seeded with a $10.5 million investment. CircleUp Growth Partners led the investment, which included additional support from S2G Ventures and Pentland Ventures.
Thrilling, a Los Angeles-based ecommerce platform for vintage and second-hand stores, fetched $8.5 million in Series A funding. Prelude Ventures led the round, which included contributions from Defy, Congruent Ventures, Urban Us and Closed Loop Ventures Group.
Elucid, a Boston-based startup developing AI software to enable cardiovascular disease detection, collected $8 million in Series A financing. MedTex Ventures and Global Health Impact Fund led the round, with participation from Checkmate Capital, IAG Capital, BlueStone Venture Partners and others.
Grove Biopharma Inc., which is focused on treatments for chronic inflammatory and neurodegenerative diseases, was seeded with a $4 million investment from investors including Portal Innovations, Skydeck Capital and Walder Ventures. John Flavin, founder and chief executive of Portal Innovations, will join the board.
Sanctuary, a New York-based app offering on-demand astrology, tarot and psychic readings, nabbed $3 million in seed financing. Bitkraft Ventures led the round, which saw participation from KEC Ventures, Greycroft, Azure Capital Partners, Advancit Capital, Gaingels and Uncommon Denominator.
Windmill, a New York-based maker of a smart window air conditioner, scored $3 million in seed funding. Pentland Ventures led the investment, which included support from Next Play Ventures and Graph Ventures.
