Beautiful skin is healthy skin.

Dear ,

Welcome back to Thornhill Dermatology Centre! This month's newsletter is filled with exciting skin tips and opportunities to help you love the skin you're in. A fresh start to the year should include a few skin resolutions; out with the old and in with the clear, fresh and glowing. If you agree, share these opportunities with a friend today!

Skin need a little reviving?

Begin 2014 with a deeply detoxifying, pore-clearing, glow-exposing microdermabrasion or chemical peel treatment.

Thornhill Dermatology Centre is pleased to offer industry leading technologies to revive the complexion such as SilkPeel® microdermabrasion and SkinCeuticals professional chemical peels.

Only until January 31st, receive 30% off customized microdermabrasion and chemical peel packages. Contact us by email or phone for details: (905) 695-2020.

Keep glowing.

For an ongoing glow to last through the year, try an at-home skincare routine that nourishes and conditions your skin. The right routine can protect your skin from sun damage, the elements of the season and a buildup of congestion. SkinCeuticals offers a comprehensive line of products to help you put your best face forward. Through an Ontario winter, we recommend:

Cleanse deeply. Using SkinCeuticals’ Micro Exfoliating Scrub once per week will help expose fresh, new skin and clear pores of congestion. Pair it with Clarisonic Pro on a daily basis to maintain this deep clean.

Moisturize. Hydration is healthy. SkinCeuticals moisturizers offer nourishment and protection as they hydrate and soothe. Under 40? Try Face Cream to help you brave the elements. Over 40? Try A.G.E. Interrupter for added skin firming benefits.

Protect daily. Aiding in the reduction of fine lines, hyperpigmentation and wrinkles, antioxidant serums help defend and repair the skin throughout the day. Try celebrity and media acclaimed C E Ferulic daily on freshly washed skin.

Keep your family sun safe.

Sun safety isn’t always top of mind when we’re craving to escape the winter cold but DID YOU KNOW concrete, sand and water reflect 85-90% of the sun’s UV rays? Even on a cloudy, snowy day here at home, your child can incur a sunburn and just one blistering sunburn can double their lifetime risk of developing skin cancer.

Teach your children about the importance of sunscreen. Since we all learn by example, make applying sunscreen part of your household's morning routine all year long. Look for sunscreens that are easy to apply, safe and well tolerated. Watch this video on how to choose the best sunscreen for your face.

Lastly, ensure your family visits a dermatologist regularly for preventative skin examinations. Skin cancer may be the most common form of cancer in Canada but it is preventable.

Complexion analysis for healthier skin.

Knowing how to best protect your skin begins with understanding your skin’s needs.

Start with a free complexion analysis at your next visit. With these findings, our expert staff can assist you in customizing a skincare system that is right for you. The VISIA™ Complexion Analysis System is the gold standard for facial diagnostic photography. It measures several attributes of the skin including spots and sun damage which can be precursors of future conditions.

Watch a live VISIA™ demonstration here on Good Morning America then email or call (905) 695-2020 for a complimentary VISIA™ Complexion Analysis.
