Councils Unite to Assist Bush Fire Recovery Efforts 

Strathfield Council has joined forces with the Office of Local Government and other metro councils in bush fire recovery efforts. Council has pledged significant resources to assist bush fire affected councils with clean up, damage assessment, safety and health services, parks, engineering and service delivery for residents. Council has committed for the long haul. You can find more information here.

The recent bush fires have devastated these communities. Council is determined to provide every assistance possible to enable a swift recovery.

Mobile phone detection cameras have been in operation on NSW roads since 1 December. Warning letters will be issued for the first three months. Following this period, penalties of five demerit points and a $344 fine ($456 in a school zone) will apply.
